I got nothin' on electro

Franklin & I drunkenly covered a Wolfie song the other night. They're a band from the mid-90s that isn't all that well known, and we couldn't find the lyrics anywhere, so we had to make like a couple of middle-schoolers without internet access and figure out the lyrics ourselves - gasp! It was like trying to decipher some sort of ancient code, it felt like. It was fun, though. It took us longer to figure out the lyrics than it did to figure out how to play the song, haha.

Here is the video footage of our sloppy drunken cover:

SONG: "You're gonna fall back into it, but I'll always love you" by Wolfie

Please excuse that weird part at the end.
We're both a little strange, and it sometimes shows.

In other news: we bought a fancy little tablet the other day, so now I'm officially on instagram now! finally. there's a little widget on the side there, if you wanna follow. the name's discolizzy. I haven't really got that much on there right now, 'cause we just got it, but, yeah. I have the STRONGEST urge to spend the rest of my day at the public library, so, I better go before they close. happy st. patrick's day!

  1. I enjoyed that immensely! Especially the "trombone voices" (like the adults in the Peanuts cartoons) at the end haha. You guys have such a sweet sweet studio set up! I am so envious. If we ever hang out in real life we should play music together :)

    1. haha, thank you! the trombone voices were kind of embarrassing to keep in the video, but it's pretty revealing as to how we interact with each other on a regular basis, hahaha, so I kept it in to keep us honest. and yes for sure, we should definitely make some musics if we ever hang out in real life! that would be super fun :)

  2. haha, I LOVE this. You guys are so fun and creative, I love your little setup you have and that you make music together, it's absolutely marvelous. I've always wanted to have something like this for Daniel and I- but we don't have much in the way of instruments- we both love music though- he likes to write and compose and I like to write and sing :) So maybe some day!

    1. aw, thank you Alyssa! oh man, you two should totally make music! it's so fun. and as for instruments, all you need is a good thrift store keyboard & you're good to go :) haha. do you guys play anything in particular usually? I can't REALLY play any instruments for real, haha. I just fake it until it sounds right, hahaha.

oh, PS: I'm almost done with your letter! I'm a perfectionist, though I'm trying to not be, so I wrote it in pencil, and now I need to go over it in pen. but it's almost done! hahaha :)

  3. you two are super cute. and creative. and bold. very bold. haha. I don't think Josh and I would ever have grow enough balls to post anything that we have filmed while drinking onto the internet...probably only because our end result is much less on the creative side and more than a little embarrassing! hahahaha
